Happy Birthday To Me!

The entire restaurant sang happy birthday to me!  I was so embarrassed.

It is no secret that this year has been very difficult for me.  However, my birthday re-established my belief that I will be okay.  My family and friends truly out did themselves. 

Daniel and Mallory gave me a yummy birthday cake from Holt's Bakery (birth place of the keylime cake).  They also gave me some roses and a beautiful card.  I was really shocked.  Typically, we only celebrate Mallory's birthday.

On Saturday morning Mallory made me a fabulous birthday card.  Inside she wrote, "You rock, now let's party).  If only..........

Saturday night my good friends took me to my favorite restaurant, which is Sal's Pizzeria.  Although I didn't enjoy a glass of wine, I still had an awesome time.  Krystial ordered us each a gourmet cupcake and I added gelato to mine.  The companionship, food, and atmosphere was great!  It was the best time I've had in a very long time.  BTW, the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to me, which truly embarrassed me.

On Sunday, Daniel's mom, Paula, cooked my favorite meal.  We had chicken and rice and baked ham.  It was delicious!  She makes the BEST chicken and rice. 

I was also surprised to realize that a baby shower followed the meal.  Daniel's family "showered" us with all of the necessities.  We got several packs of diapers and many boxes of wipes.  We also got a super cute baby bath towel, baby wash clothes, socks, etc.
