I love the fact that Daniel's family prefers to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. We start the celebration with a great meal. We eat chilli, vegetable beef soup, slaw, hot dogs, and of course we have dessert. This year I made a blueberry cake (Harlie's favorite), spritz cookies (Blake's favorite), reese cup cookies, and bar b que smokies. Shelley made pecan pie bars (which were yummy), cheese dip (which was Braydden's favorite) and cheese cakes. Everything was so delicious.
This year, Paula made Mallory work for her gifts. Mallory was given a series of hints (notes) that led to her big red bag of gifts. She started in the kitchen, went to the bathroom for clue #2, the living room for clue #3, and finally found her bag in Nana and Pappy's bedroom.
