Caladesi Island can only be reached by ferry.  It is a natural beach and has been rated as the best natural beach in the United States, beating Hawaii.  

We spent several hours playing.  The water was gorgeous, clear, and clean.  In fact, it was so clear and clean a manatee was quickly spotted.  

The birds are accustomed to be being fed.  So much so, that a swarm of birds attacked me to get my sandwich.  From behind, a bird swooped down and took a bite of my sandwich.  I threw it forward and the birds fought over it.
