Despite a scary adventure, blisters, and thirst, everyone enjoyed their time at the Nashville Zoo. My family has a tradition. We collect Christmas ornaments with new trips. At first, I decided not to get an ornament on this trip because Daniel wasn't with us. However, I changed my mind. We bought a giraffe ornament with "Nashville Zoo" stitched on it. I wanted Mallory to have a special memory of our Aunt Mary Jo. Every year we will put it on the tree and I will say, "Look Mallory, do you remember when we went to the zoo with Aunt Mary Jo."
