My Time With the G's

As most of you know, I took a week off from work and visited my grandparents.  They live in TN so it was a long ride but well worth it.  While there, my grandmother and I spent some time "puzzling."  We also traded puzzles.  I gave her some and she gave me some.  Mallory was thrilled to have new puzzles!

On Monday and Tuesday I got to go walking with my grandfather.  We walked two miles each day.  I honestly think this is the best time I have ever spent with him.  It was just the two of us so I didn't have to share him.

Other trip highlights:
1) Saw my Aunt Mary Jo
2) Saw my Aunt Peggy
3) Baked a key lime cake
4)  Cooked dinner for everyone
5) Spent some time with a dog
6)  Also took long walks with my Aunt Mary Jo, which I truly enjoyed
7) Went to church with my grandparents and with my Aunt Mary Jo--yes, I went to church twice that day!
8)  Was re-introduced to some of my Aunt Mary Jo's best friends
9) Ate at Culver's, a fabulous restaurant that served custard and cheese turds.  Went there twice!
10)  Found a man who loves the Olive Garden--My Grandpa.  Seriously, is there a better man for me and Grandma?????

Overall, it was a successful trip and I had a blast.  Spending time with my G's was the best vacay I have had in a long time.  I am so glad that I went.  Beware, next time Mallory comes!

  2. WE are so happy that you came to see us. It was wonderful! FYI It is cheese curds, not cheese turds. Some how cheese curds sounds tastier.

  3. I was wondering about that cheese turds comment! So glad it is called cheese curds instead :) Made me laugh! It sounds like you had an amazing time with your grandparents. It will be a time in your life that you will never forget. Great memories were made.
