Run 5 To Keep Kids Alive

The race was great.  I entered with my friend, Tiffany.  She has a young family member who is battling cancer.  She had a lot of family there and they wore t-shirts in honor of her cousin.  The race was sponsored by Wolfson Children's Hospital.  A worthy cause, also the place where Mallory had her palate surgery and still goes to the eye clinic at its partner, Nemours.

We ran over 3 bridges and the last mile was riverside.  The course was enjoyable but I got hot and the slopes of the bridges were rigorous  I finished with a respectable chip time of 51 minutes and a few seconds.

The best part:  Everyone who ran well received a great new Nine West bag.  Here is a picture of mine.  I LOVE it!  Bet you wished you would have ran it now, right Lealane????

  3. I don't know if a purse would be a good enough incentive for me to run, but perhaps if they served cupcakes or something at the finish line....
