Yesterday we traveled to GA Ear Associates in Savannah, GA. The results were fairly good. No more fluid! However, we will go back on Thursday, October 14 to have outpatient surgery. Mallory has a cyst that is in the ear canal and growing dangerously close to the ear drum. Its not a big deal. In fact, the procedure will last 7-10 minutes. No pain or complications are expected.
With the fluid gone, her hearing has improved some. We will have some type of post-op appointment and I intend to ask about regular follow ups regarding infections/fluid. I think our pediatrician will be able to do this--she works in our town!
